Note: This software uses the Metric system (millimetres). Changes have been made to allow the 'input' and printing of Imperial measurements (inches) although all on-screen dimensions are shown in millimetres.

The Basic Furniture Design software is a unique product that has been developed to assist DIY and woodworking enthusiasts to design general furniture such as bookshelves, tables, corner cabinets and cupboards.

Once you decide on the dimensions and layout of the furniture, simply enter the details for each part, making allowances for your preferred joining methods.

The software will produce a basic cutting list, including approximate cost using the materials price file, and allows you to view the furniture in 3D.

Easy to use, the layout has been designed for simple selection and entry of dimensions for all parts that make up the carcass of the furniture. The 3D view can include a visual of where doors and drawers are positioned, and although they are not calculated automatically, two utility design windows are available to calculate them. There is also a module to help produce a cutting layout for sheet material such as plywood.
